Instead of a lo-fi Hand Turkey, this year we decided to go with an equally DIY Collage Turkey. The site’s just as much about the people as it is about the products, right? Just look at the top 10 posts (traffic-wise) of 2012 so far: Iris Apfel, Kerry Diamond, Dita Von Teese, Leigh Lezark, Elin Kling, Edith Zimmerman (“A Skin Thing”), Gucci Westman, Tabitha Simmons, Erin Wasson, and Daphné Hezard (Inès de la Fressange almost made it). The Top Shelf prevails. Girls + product shots + the occasional pet = good times.

So at 10 PM Monday night, surrounded by scissors, glue sticks, turkey-head print-outs, and floating faces—we spliced and diced our hearts out until this, our honorary ITG Thanksgiving bird, was complete. Humongous thanks to all the inspirational girls and guys who inspire us every day, all year long—people who keep beauty fun and fresh and cool, and who make that whole “do what you love, love what you do' thing a piece of cake.
