green nail polish

Sure, the leaves in the Northeast are changing from green to red, but do you know what’s changing from red (and other various colors) to green? Our nails. The newest crop of nail lacquers that have us passing up our usual shades are the three foresty options pictured above, among them Essie’s rich dark green Stylenomics, Estée Lauder’s emerald-city Viper, and Deborah Lippmann’s bronze-y, shimmer-flecked evergreen Easy Money... It’s not easy being green? Says who. (And if you need another reason, ITG's favorite high schooler, Esme, told us it's all about hunter-green hues in class this year. And if the kids are into it...)

Essie Stylenomics is a very dark green but depending on your skintone, the green may not be as obvious. Undertones/skintone depth affect how the color looks on folks. It's why no matter how many pretty greiges or bare taupe nail polishes I see, I know it will look sickly on me because of my undertones/overtones so I don't pick up any.
