It was my mouth, thank you very much! I promise it didn't look great in real life. I think the best way to combat that sort of unevenness with any lip color is to be sure to exfoliate your lips first (we like Fresh's brown sugar scrub, or a DIY version with some granulated sugar and vaseline) and to make sure you've moisturized. If it's still splotchy, well, reapplication is your friend. And beyond that? I blame the lipsticks themselves, personally. Hope that helps!

It's a beautiful color that will be amazing in fall and winter. I noticed the splotches and have the same problem with dark plumy lipsticks (even TOm Ford's Black Orchid doesn't go on smoothly). Any recommendations for avoiding the splotchy look?
