Kim Kardashian (who most recently appeared on the cover of New York's Fall Fashion issue) is all over the internet today for two recent photo shoots that couldn’t be more different if they tried.
Nick Knight took to Instagram and Twitter last night to share a moody black-and-white portrait [3] he took of the reality star for V (“@SHOWstudio: The very lovely Kim Kardashian. Preview from the series of pictures I shot of Kim for SHOWstudio and V magaz”) while Kim shared some more...interesting snaps [1] on her own blog from a recent shoot with music-video director and master of the fisheye lens Hype Williams.
“Clyde Haygood and Joyce Bonelli glammed me up and we went for a fun, crazy look, channeling Diana Ross [2]. Definitely a new look for me. Xo” Kim wrote, posting a series of frankly startling images of herself with heavily bronzed skin, bubblegum-pink lips, hot-pink blush, super-sized eyelashes, and a heavily teased-out mane. All along we’ve imagined Kanye’s influence would push Kardashian towards sleek and chic Céline and Isabel Marant, not disco-era excess...but perhaps Yeezy can't quite tell her to stop in the name of love?
