I have the same reverse high/low! I have the CDP, but never really use it. Instead I've been using Almay line-smoothing concealer lately, with Urban-Decay 24-7 pencils. I've never tried the CG pencil though - I'll give it a shot.

I'm using CPB concealer. This concealer really last. I had mine for more than 4 year and still have a huge tube. Little goes a long way.

I understand your frustration, Courtney. I've found that many lines are expanding their color ranges, but they don't advertise it. I'm a MAC NC45, have found Koh Gen Do's Maifanshi Moisture Foundation in 003 to be an excellent match. There are also several colors darker than 003. (I wish their Aqua Foundation and new powders had a broader and more nuanced color range.) Concealers, however, are a bigger challenge because even though I find color matches, they often turn ashy upon application. Armani and Bobbi Brown make orangy-colored correctors that are applied before concealers, which helps a lot. Sometimes I apply foundation directly over the corrector, skipping concealer altogether.

Kevyn Aucoin sensual skin enhancer has a pretty amazing range of skin tone colors. It's a bit trickier to work with than CDP but the coverage is also beautiful and natural once you get the hang of it and it lasts FOREVER...

I've been using Cle de Peau concealer for the past 6 months and am totally in love with it! Was hoping I wouldn't like it quite this much, because it means I'm left with an expensive concealer habit- but it's worth it I've not yet found another concealer that matches its texture and coverage. Gives amazing opaque coverage but, like you said, really looks like skin once blended. Totally worth the splurge.

yup. i only wear cle de peau concealer. don't need foundation. works perfectly here and there. expensive but worth it. which is definitely not nearly always the case.

Word. I wonder if higher-end cosmetics companies have ANY idea how much respect they'd get (not to mention how much money they'd make) if they diversified their color range. I know Tarte offers a nice range of colors, but Tarte ain't Cle De Peau!
