Luigi Murenu: The girls are dark creatures of the night, but they still have that ‘glam’ appearance. So we have finger waves in the front, with a very severe middle part and the hair smoothed down like polished wood—we are using John Frieda Frizz Ease for that. And then we have these gorgeous waves that we’re going to put on the side, so it’s going to give that kind of last-touch, glam finish. I think it’s a bit seventies—there is a lot of fur in the collection, a lot of transparency…as you know, the Viktor & Rolf show, they have a lot of emotion—so with the makeup, with the hair, with everything, it’s going to be crazy.
Pat McGrath: They’re walking through a forest under the moon…the designers wanted something hard and they wanted something soft—the juxtaposition of those two things. I would say the makeup is romantic but dark; slightly gothic, elegant…we’ve done a burgundy lip and kind of smoky gray eyes, with gorgeous highlights.
