I have only just recently stumbled across this website and am so in love I can't help but read all the archived posts. This article is fantastic, just like all the rest. Skin care interests me so much more then make up and fashion (though not by much) and I love these voyeuristic articles showing us the behind the scenes of these beautiful people's beauty regimes. I've already picked up so much from a week of reading this site and it's been the inspiration for my Christmas wishlist. However, I had to comment here seeing so many people's responses criticizing this woman for caving under the pressure of media to look younger - this is by no means something new created by today's society! Yes, the media has over-exaggerated this and with the development of cosmetic surgery it can become ugly, but it's an animal instinct ingrained in us. We are simply animals and at one point the only goals in our lives was to survive and procreate. Men were only attracted to young fertile woman; so woman color their hair blonde, shave/wax/trim anything that has naturally developed after puberty (legs, underarms, pubic, etc.), and try to keep their skin as smooth and flawless as possible. The same way woman are instinctively attracted to someone who is rich, powerful, who can look after and provide for her and any children they have. Botox might not be natural or organic, but there's no reason to criticize her for not growing old "gracefully" - she looks pretty gorgeous, graceful and happy to me! And HONEST!

Without question, this is my favourite interview featured here.

Our cultural - and, indeed, personal - pursuit of youth and artificial perfection is in overdrive, yet Lori seems to have a realistic and celebratory attitude towards ageing.

She looks beautiful and her honesty only enhances that.

She's probably one of the few people reading this website who was actually alive and aware when the hippie days were happening, so i say she can use that term as much as she wants! And, as someone who's also getting older, I've experienced how my attitudes towards aging have changed- I'd still like to age gracefully, but it is really a big bummer to see how the years are changing you. I don't think anyone is happy about those changes, and working in the fashion/beauty business probably doesn't make it any easier to age.

Ha, so she keeps her hippie status if she uses thousands of dollars worth of products from Paris, but it's "OMG SHE'S NOT A HIPPIE!!1!" because she gets fillers? Oh please. As a normal reader of this site (which is basically dedicated to the pursuit of vanity) I appreciate it when the interviewees are as candid as possible. I am still a few years away from 30, but I was excited to see an older woman featured. And of course I am even more curious about Joëlle Ciocco. D=
